Mara Gagel is a graphic designer, illustrator, printmaker, and hand lettering artist from Louisville, Kentucky. She recently earned her BFA in Graphic Design at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. She is currently based in Toledo, Ohio.

She draws inspiration from obnoxious color combos, hand painted signs, and negative space. Her practice is cross disciplinary, and often is a combination of all her practices. When she is not making things, you can find her reading, antiquing, or watching Rupaul’s Drag Race.
